First day of Corporate Fasting and Praying: Friday, March 1, 2019
Today is our first day of our 30 days of Fasting and Praying at Jesus Center Community Church. Three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), I will be sharing with you some scriptural passages to meditate or reflect upon throughout the day.
Meditation Passage for March 1: First Day of Fasting
Theme: “The Presence of God and the Promise that the Triune God will always be with us.
1. The Promise that God the Father Will Always be with US
Isaiah 41:10
“Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Hebrews 13:5-6
“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we can confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear;
what can man do to me?”
2. The Promise that God the Son Will Always be with US
Matthew 18:20
” For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
Matthew 28: 18-20
“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
3. The Promise that God the Spirit Will Always be with US
John 14:16-17
“14 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.”
2 Corinthians 13:14
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
*** Remember we are meeting at the sanctuary of Jesus Center every Saturday throughout the month of March (March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30) to fast and pray. See you tomorrow morning, from 9:00 to noon.
Have a Blessed Day!
